Britta Leistmanis has been employed by HET Filter GmbH since March 2020. She told our editorial team in an interview what her responsibilities are and what she particularly likes about her job.
How did you come to HET Filter GmbH?
I applied to a job ad for an assistant manager position. However, it was already clear from the ad that the position was very sales-oriented, so it was just right for me. After only a short time, I was able to expand my area of responsibility and became the deputy sales manager.
What do you look forward to when you go to work in the morning?
I'm most looking forward to the work itself, sales is my passion and we work in a very interesting environment. But I also look forward to meeting my colleagues; we simply have a great working atmosphere.
What are your responsibilities?
As deputy sales manager, I am responsible for sales, after-sales and service. These three departments work hand in hand for us. The sales team looks for new, exciting projects and maintains contact with customers. Service and after-sales advise customers on spare parts, maintenance and upgrades. Our service technicians determine the current requirements directly at the customer's site so that the after-sales team can prepare tailor-made offers.
What is special about HET?
We work in a very structured way here, but there are no rigid structures. Everyone can contribute their own ideas and processes are optimized again and again. Here, no one says "But we've always done it that way". In addition, we always have our finger on the pulse and develop new technologies, which is very exciting for me.
There is a great willingness to help among colleagues, and we support each other wherever necessary.
What role does teamwork play at HET?
A big role, each department is linked to the other. The fact that we function so well as a team is crucial to our success.
What three terms come to mind when you think of HET?
Innovation, technology, flexibility
What is your biggest challenge in your work?
Working as a woman in a leadership position often comes with some challenges in a technically oriented industry. At HET, I am always supported and encouraged, especially by the management. We do not have unequal treatment.
What can future applicants expect from the application process?
For us, it's not just the qualifications that count, but also the human touch. Several employees are always involved in the application process in order to be able to assess how well someone fits into the team.
What are the benefits of your job at HET?
I have flexible working hours and the possibility to work in a home office. There are also many opportunities to further your education. I also like the fact that I can work independently and on my own responsibility.
What can future employees look forward to at HET?
Here's to a great atmosphere, interesting tasks and an exciting working environment. And, of course, technology that inspires.

Daniel Lange has been working as "Engineer Filtersystems" at HET Filter GmbH for 6 years. He told our editorial team in an interview what his day-to-day work is like and what makes his job so special.
How did you come to HET Filter GmbH?
What do you look forward to when you go to work in the morning?
What are your responsibilities?
As "Engineer Filtersystems", I design the filter systems precisely to the customer's processes. I advise and support my customers from the initial inquiry to the commissioning of their systems.
So my job is very varied, I work out calculations, designs, quotations, project design, customer visits and also customer acceptance at our company.
What is your daily work routine like at HET?
working day. I always make a to-do list for the day in the morning, plan my meetings and projects, and consult with my colleagues.
We often spend our lunch break together in a convivial atmosphere in the HET kitchen, or sometimes out.
What is your biggest challenge in your work?
increasingly complex, and so do our projects. We must always have our finger on the pulse and be able to react flexibly to customers' processes.
Fortunately, we succeed very well because we work closely with our customers and launch many innovations.
