As part of our first #het<\/a>aid donation campaign, we are delighted to be able to support the \u201cHand-in-Hand f\u00fcr schwerstkranke und krebskranke Kinder e.V.\u201d<\/a> association in Altenstadt. After an internal vote, our employees decided to support this dedicated association with a donation and to get to know the valuable work they do on site. <\/p>\n\n

The selection of the supported project<\/h3>\n\n

Our fundraising campaign began with an appeal to all HET<\/a> Filter employees to submit suggestions for charitable projects. The suggestions submitted were then put to an internal vote. The majority opted for the \u201cHand-in-Hand f\u00fcr schwerstkranke und krebskranke Kinder e.V.\u201d association, which has been providing outstanding support for families with seriously ill and cancer-stricken children since 2008. <\/p>\n\n

The \u201cHand-in-Hand\u201d association: support for families in difficult times<\/h3>\n\n

The \u201cHand-in-Hand\u201d association was founded on January 27, 2008 and has been committed to supporting families with seriously ill and cancer-stricken children and young people ever since. Originally founded as \u201cHand-in-Hand f\u00fcr krebskranke Kinder Altenstadt e.V.\u201d, the association expanded its commitment in 2014 and has since been supporting all seriously ill children up to the age of 28. <\/p>\n\n

The association not only provides financial support, but also offers the affected families practical help based on its own experience, for example when dealing with the authorities. The association\u2019s work extends beyond Altenstadt and also includes cooperation with other organizations such as LaLeLu e.V.<\/a>, B\u00e4renherz Wiesbaden e.V.<\/a> and the Psychosocial Service of Frankfurt University Hospital. <\/p>\n\n

Our support: On site in Altenstadt<\/h3>\n\n

To get a better picture of the association\u2019s impressive work, we met in person in Altenstadt. There we were able to see how the association helps in various life situations \u2013 whet<\/a>her by converting bathrooms, enabling therapies and treatments or building ramps for wheelchairs.
But also help <\/p>\n\n

Our donation is intended to support this valuable work. <\/p>\n\n

Doing good together: Further support is welcome<\/h3>\n\n

The \u201cHand-in-Hand\u201d association relies on the support of people who would like to help families in need. Be it through monetary or material donations or by volunteering at events \u2013 any kind of support is very welcome. <\/p>\n\n

We are proud to have taken this first step with our fundraising campaign and look forward to continuing to be part of such important initiatives.<\/p>\n\n
